a bit about me.
ADVERTISING EXECUTIVE | THEATRE ENTHUSIAST | NEW YORKER | VINYL COLLECTOR | OXFORD COMMA USER | WHISKEY DRINKER | ASPIRING NATIONAL TREASURE | MIDWESTERNER-AT-HEART
It all began in Indianapolis where I was born and raised. A ham in a family of introverts, I began acting at the age of 12. Since that time, I've acted in or directed more than 50 stage productions across the Midwest.
I graduated high school from North Central High School where I was a member of the nationally recognized Counterpoints choir. While attending North Central, I participated in the Prelude Awards, a city-wide arts competition, where, from more than 300 entries, I won first place in the vocal category. I attended Roosevelt University's Chicago College of Performing Arts to study musical theatre before transferring to Western Kentucky University, where I shifted my focus to advertising and public relations. After college, I returned home to Indianapolis, where I continued to act professionally while beginning my advertising career. These days you'll find me singing all the hits in the shower.
As my career progressed, I made the leap to Chicago and traveled the world with my client, Abbott. Abbott also marked the pivot of my advertising career from consumer and tech to healthcare. A true nerd at heart, I loved the opportunity to learn about science and health, while applying my consumer experience to the world of medicine.
After being recruited by the Publicis network, I decided to pack up my Chicago life and head to New York. New York combined my two passions: theatre and advertising. Since moving to NYC, I've climbed my way up the proverbial corporate ladder from account director to the c-suite in six years. Currently, I serve dual roles as global chief client officer and head of North America at VMLY&R Health.
Outside of the office, I enjoy exploring the city and world, seeing theatre, collecting vinyl, fine dining, and traveling.
